A woman who was charged with handling goods while knowing or being reckless to whether the said goods were the proceeds of crime has pleaded guilty in respect of the discovery of €1,375,318 worth of gold bullion.
She was also charged with money laundering offences contrary to the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010.
Svethana Bahtajeva, 38, of Earslfort Court in Lucan appeared before Judge Orla Crowe at the Central Criminal Court this morning where she was arraigned in respect of the charges against her.
Bahtajeva previously appeared before Blanchardstown District Court with her co-accused, Jelana Idele, 58, of 20 Glenbourne Walk in Leopardstown, last October.
At the time Ms Bahtajeva was also charged with the possession of €58,850 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of criminal conduct.
The cash was found after Gardaí searched her home.
Bahtajeva will be sentenced on the 11th of December next.
Idele îs to appear before the courts on the 22nd of October.
