Another day, another school survey being reported as showing the need to get the Church out, out, out of schools, as some might say if they didn’t have to feign at least a modicum of impartiality on the topic.
The occasion of the latest bashfest is the Department of Education and Youth’s publication of preliminary national survey findings that indicate that approximately “60 percent of parents in denominational schools wish to retain that ethos” – the vast majority of denominational schools in the State being, of course, Catholic ethos.
