The dust has settled, President Connolly has assumed her place in Áras an Uachtaráin, and the most interesting piece of the puzzle has just fallen into place: the Standards in Public Office (SIPO) Commission has published the candidates’ election expense statements.
Candidates at Dáil, Seanad, European and Presidential elections in Ireland are obliged to submit the details of both the donations they received and their election expenses to SIPO, and after review, the main details are issued for public consumption.
