I am really getting sick of hysterical, emotional women. They are everywhere. Mary Wollstonecraft, the first modern English feminist objected to women being dismissed as emotional beings incapable of rational thought. In Vindication of the Rights of Women she wrote of how societies craft women to become slaves to their feelings.
“In short, women in general, as well as the rich of both sexes, have acquired all the follies and vices of civilization, and missed the useful fruit… [Women’s] senses are inflamed, and their understandings neglected, consequently they become prey to their sense, delicately termed sensibility, and are blown about by every momentary gust of feelings. Civilized women are… weakened by false refinement…. All their thoughts turn on things calculated to excite emotion and feeling, when they should reason…
