Women should be able to travel on public transport without getting stabbed to death. That should not be a controversial thing to say, yet the Democrats and the leftists in the US are tying themselves up in pretzels over the killing Iryna Zarutska, a 23 year old Ukrainian refugee who was fatally stabbed on a Charlotte light rail train in a brutal attack by serial criminal Decarlos Brown Jr.
Remember the pussy hats and the media frenzy when President Trump got elected for his first term? Remember the Women’s march and the hysteria that this was the end of the world and the Handmaid’s Tale was here? Someone made fortune from making those Handmaid’s Tales costumes (red cloak and white hat). Not as much as the folks making the Palestinian flags (you can get 3 here for £10) or the Keffiyeh scarf (this pink one is nice) but still. You can purchase your Handmaid’s Tale outfit here.
On and on they went, and not just in North America. The liberal women were busy being outraged, telling us how women were going to die if they didn’t have access to their third trimester abortions etc etc. The same group of people then went on to canonise George Floyd who was killed by a white police officer. He was killed, we were told, because of racism, hate, and a systematically racist police state. They went on to argue that we should Defund the Police and with the backing of a lot of George Soros funding they got a fair few District Attorneys elected on a defund the police ticket.
You know what happens when you defund the police, go soft on crime, refuse serious custodial sentencing and have no adequate system for people with serious mental health conditions? You get more crime. You get more violence, more serious criminality and more dead people.
Much of the increase in crime has been borne by the black communities that the National Organisation for Women and BLM folks tell you they were going to help. That’s because not only do black people carry out more serious crimes, black people are also more likely to be the victims of serious crimes. Black people and women.
On August the 22nd it was the turn of Iryna Zarutska to benefit from the entire defund the police, soft on crime fandango. She was a Ukrainian refugee who made the mistake of coming to the US to seek refuge from Putin’s war. She probably would have been safer in Ukraine. She then also made the mistake of going on her phone when she got on the light transit system the Lynx Blue line just before 10pm just a few miles outside of downtown Charlotte.
CNN:
“Decarlos Brown, the passenger behind her, dug into the fold of his clothes and took out what appeared to be a knife. For a moment, he looked back out the window, as if that was all he was going to do. But in a quick movement, he launched up and swung his arm over the seat and fatally stabbed Zarutska, who clutched her face and throat before slouching to the ground.
Zarutska died on the train from her injuries as passengers kneeled over her trying to help. Brown has been charged with first-degree murder in her killing.”
Brown had convictions for armed robbery, felony larceny, and breaking and entering. He had a record of serious mental illness. His sister, Tracey Brown, said he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and suffered hallucinations and paranoia. Yes there he was roaming around public transport for a victim.
So that’s Iryna Zarutske’s life cut short at 23 years of age. But she won’t get a parade, or a pussy hat wearing protest, or a Handmaid’s cloak protest or Hollywood stars saying that the time is up on violence against women and girls. She is not the victim the media likes to have: a blonde white woman. And she was killed by someone they do not like to have as the bad guy: a black man.
Born on 22 May 2002, in Kyiv, Ukraine, Iryna was the beloved daughter of Anna Zarutska and Stanislav Zarutskyi. In August 2022, she emigrated from Ukraine with her mother, sister and brother to escape the war and she quickly embraced her new life in the United States. She became fluent in English.
A gifted and passionate artist, Iryna graduated from Synergy College in Kyiv with a degree in Art and Restoration. She shared her creativity generously, gifting family and friends with her artwork. She loved sculpting and designing unique, eclectic clothing that reflected her vibrant spirit. Iryna also had a deep love for animals.
Her family said “Iryna will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, and the lasting impression she left on everyone she met. Her absence leaves a deep void, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.”
Say her name. And get angry. If you cannot get angry about the fatal stabbing of a young woman on public transport by a man who should never have been at liberty, then the problem is you.
