Only 2.83 percent of naturalisation decisions since 2012 resulted in an application for citizenship being rejected by the State, according to figures released to Gript by the Department of Justice.
According to the figures supplied to Gript, the State has made 212,493 decisions on naturalisations since 2012, with 2024 seeing a record 31,202 decisions issued.
