Dublin Bay South is known for being arguably the most liberal Dáil constituency in Ireland, rivalled only by the likes of Dun Laoghaire.
The native stomping ground of figures like Labour’s Ivana Bacik and the Green Party’s Eamon Ryan, this district – which encompasses leafy affluent suburbs like Kimmage, Terenure and Rathmines, as well as some more working class areas like Ringsend – has had some of the highest ‘Yes’ social referendum votes of any constituency in the country.
