The National Parents Council is seeking new members to volunteer on its board.
In a document the organisation says it has board vacancies to fill and “wants to see an Ireland where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.”
It continues, “This is only possible when each child’s parent has a say in their education.”
Vacancies have opened up for parents of primary school children with the NPC stating it wants to “steer our organisation in the right direction going forward”.
Anyone who is a parent is free to apply.
Hopeful parents can submit their application by following this link.
“We at NPC believe in the strength of diversity and what it brings to the table.
The statement goes on to emphasise the importance of diversity on the board saying, “This means the representation of parents and their children from all backgrounds.”
It concludes, “The position on the board is valid for the duration of one year from appointment and we would like to encourage parents from diverse backgrounds to apply for this vital position.”
