Ahmed Abdirahman, the accused in the murder of Mary Ward is “not engaging” with the psychiatrist working with his defence team, the Central Criminal Court has heard.
Defending counsel, Oisin Clarke BL, told Mr. Justice Paul McDermott that Abdirahman, who is from Somalia, is waiting to be transferred from Mountjoy Prison to the Central Mental Hospital (CMH), as available mental health resources at the prison have “reached their limit” in respect of him.
