A man has been released on bail after Gardaí discovered “over €20,000 worth of cannabis” at an address in Cabra.
Kyle Fitzgerald, who has an address at Carnlough Road, Cabra, Dublin 7 appeared before Dublin District Court charged with breaches of section 2 and 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1997.
Gardaí gave evidence of how the accused was arrested at 18.30pm on Saturday at an address in Cabra before he was charged with the offences by Sergeant Fell. whereupon he made “no reply”.
Although the State objected to bail arguing that Fitzgerald is a “flight risk” due to the “seriousness of the charges”, Judge Michele Finan granted bail on condition that he reside at the stated address, surrender his passport and not apply for any new travel documents, and sign on daily at Cabra Garda station.
He must also provide a phone number to Gardaí on which he is to be contactable on “at all times”.
He is to appear before Blanchardstown District Court on the 24th of November for directions from the DPP.
Legal aid was granted in respect of the accused.
