Gardaí have confirmed that a man aged in his 40s has died after a workplace accident in Ringsend, Dublin 4.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to the fatal accident today, Friday 12th December 2025. Sadly, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body has been removed to the Dublin City mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) says it has been notified and will conduct its own investigation.
A file will be prepared for the coroner, Gardaí said.
While the HSA confirmed the incident, it said no further information is available at this time.
The Irish Mirror reports this evening that the accident happened at the old Glass Bottle Construction site in Ringsend, where construction was underway for an apartment complex.
It reports that the man, a worker, died in the freak accident after falling from a height.
Gardaí have advised the public not to share footage being circulated online.
