Nothing should really surprise me now about the great British multicultural experiment that has brought British culture and society to its knees but the phrase “Jihad al-Shamie, British citizen of Syrian descent” is another keeper. Jihad al-Shamie as we now all know took it upon himself to attack a synagogue in Manchester last Thursday causing the deaths of Melvin Cravitz and Adrian Daulby. Everyone knew this kind of attack on British Jews was coming but it is still shocking. Since the readmission of the Jews to England in the 1650s until 1960 when a Jewish student was killed by fascists not a single Jew was killed in the UK for being a Jew. This is unique in all Europe and the Americas.
We are to accept from Our Great Leaders that Jihad al-Shamie is just as British as my husband, a one humble Philip Perrins, whose grandfather was Irish on the maternal line and whose paternal line is English. We are to believe that little Jihad is as British as young George or John, fish and chips, and beer from one of those pubs with the funny names that I never did get used to – the Crown and Arms, the Plough or the Red Lion. I don’t think so.
Turns out Jihad al-Shamie was British by bureaucratic sleight of hand, just like the Welsh choir boy Alex Rudakubana who attacked the little girls in Southport was British. Jihad al-Shamie lived in Prestwich, Manchester. He entered the UK as a young child and was granted British citizenship in 2006 when around the age of 16.
So the British state in its infinite wisdom and compassion granted Jihad al-Shamie’s family refuge, little Jihad went through the British school system, the one that teaches British values and then he came out the other side with a hatred for Jews. I am truly shocked!
Jihad’s family condemned the killings but things turned awkward for his father who is a surgeon in the NHS (of course he is) when Facebook pages were found that showed he was cock – a – hoop after the Hamas attack on Israel on Oct 7th . He couldn’t get enough of Hamas hunting and raping Jews. At least 1200 Jews were murdered that day and 251 kidnapped. That’s a good day’s work for those who name their son Jihad.
Father of Jihad said on Facebook: “The scenes broadcast by the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades showing a group of fighters storming an occupation army camp with simple means, balloons and motorcycles, prove beyond any doubt that Israel is not here to stay.
Men like these prove that they are Allah’s men on earth, regardless of who leads them, they are the true compass for men confident in their victory, even if their resources are few.”
When I first heard that Jihad al-Shamie was responsible for the Manchester attack I did a double take. (This Manchester attack is the one on the Jews. The other Manchester attack at the Arianna Grande concert was perpetrated by Islamic extremist Salman Abedi and aided by his brother, Hashem Abedi. They killed 22 people including 8 year old Safie – Rose Roussos and injured 1,017. It was the deadliest act of terrorism and the first suicide bombing in the United Kingdom since the 7th of July 2005 London bombings. Place names are not enough now, so frequent are the Islamic terror attacks.)
Someone named their child Jihad? In Britain? It is reassuring that in Britain the roll call in schools now includes ‘Jihad.’ How did that go in school? I can just hear the teachers now, little Jihad forgot his pencil. Have you done your homework Jihad? Can you please sit down Jihad? Let’s discuss the progress of Jihad at the parent – teacher meeting. And the teachers, like everyone else, are supposed to think this is normal. The politicians and media will stare you in the face and dare you to object to a name like Jihad and if you do, you are the problem. You don’t think that diversity is our strength and that could get you fired from your job. So they carried on as if everything was tickety-boo.
How well did Jihad do in his GCSEs? Did he do A- Levels? Oh Jihad was under investigation for rape at the time of the attack. Shocked I am.
Just how many little Jihads are running around school yards in Britain right now? I’d like to know. Of course the enablers in the media and elsewhere, the shameless ‘prison bitches’ as Mark Steyn calls them, will tell me Jihad isn’t really about defending Muslims and Muslim territory by the sword. They will say it’s not about Holy War at all, this is a western misconception. Jihad is about ‘inner struggle.’ It’s a form of yoga really or when you go on a diet and really struggle not to eat the chocolate cake. Sure it is, tell that to the Christians in Nigeria.
These enablers and facilitators of Islamic extremism will lecture you on interpretation right as the Islamic extremists are planting a bomb at the concert full of little girls in Manchester or as they are boarding the tube and bus on July 7th. I’d just stepped off the Piccadilly line in 2005 when the news of 7/7 came through. Days later I remember a simple sign on the window of a printing shop on Chancery lane announcing that one of their employees had been murdered that day. Ciaran Cassidy was 22 years old when he was blown to bits by an Islamic extremist on the Piccadilly line. He was brought up in London by his father Sean and his mother Veronica, both from Ireland.
On and on it goes, the religion of peace with the nasty problem of some extremists who like to ram people with cars, stab people on bridges, murder journalists over a cartoon or blow children up at concerts. We are just to accept this as part of life in Europe. It is a cost ‘baked in’ for the wonders and joys of multiculturalism and diversity is our strength.
We can only hope there are not any little Jihads running around Irish playgrounds there with Seamus and Liam. I tend to take people at their word. If they are calling their children Jihad we have a problem.
RIP Melvin Cravitz and Adrian Daulby.
May their memory be a blessing.
