IPAS residents and people in Ireland on study visas are having their home loan applications considered by local authorities, according to FOI materials released to a reader and seen by Gript.
It is a development made possible by changes to the credit policy underpinning the Local Authority Home Loan (LAHL) scheme, which saw ‘habitual residency’ removed from the eligibility requirements.
