German Twitter users have posted video of Frankfurt police reportedly measuring social distancing between people on the street.
The footage was taken during a protest against Germany’s new strict Covid-19 restrictions.
“Hessian police officers walk with folding rules through the crowd in Frankfurt on December 11th 2021,” said one user who posted such footage. The video has received 2.2 million views to date.

“The officers must have felt very competent and useful in carrying out this assignment,” said one German user sarcastically, who added a clown emoji.

“Nothing is embarrassing to them,” said another.
