A Pakistani Muslim former mayor has been found guilty of attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to the rape of a teenage girl by her son.
A jury sitting at Winchester Crown Court found the former mayor of Bracknell in Berkshire (2023 -2024), Naheed Ejaz (61), guilty of helping her son, Diwan Khan, to hide evidence related to an incident in which he drugged and raped the 15-year-old.
