Governor Ron DeSantis has filed a petition for the Florida State Supreme to impanel a grand jury to investigate “crimes and wrongs in Florida” related to the COVID-19 vaccines and their rollout.
The announcement was made after the governor hosted a roundtable meeting with Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo and a panel of ”physicians, researchers, and public health experts”.
DeSantis says the, “pharmaceutical industry and the FDA have refused to release patient-level data for independent researchers”., while the “COVID-19 vaccines produced by Pfizer and Moderna have received FDA approval for pediatric and adult patients” adding that they “continue to be marketed as safe and effective, even though the vaccines do not prevent transmission”.
The governor also claims that “adverse events have been minimised and disregarded by the Biden Administration and Big Pharma”.
DeSantis is an outspoken critic of the CDC’s covid guidelines and established an independent review body called the Public Health Integrity Committee as a means of scrutinising public health guidelines issued by federal bodies.
However in a 2021 press conference he said that covid vaccines “are saving lives” and that “over 95%” of covid hospital admissions were either “not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated at all”.

The governor, who is currently out preforming Donald Trump 52-30 in a primary poll, has been tipped as a possible 2024 Republican Party Presidential candidate, refused to adopt vaccine passport, mask, and lockdown mandates during the pandemic.
Speaking at the roundtable meeting, Surgeon General Ladapo said “Health care professionals should always communicate the risks of a medical intervention to their patients in a manner that is clinically appropriate and meets standards of ethical practice. President Biden and Big Pharma have completely prevented that from happening – it is wrong,”.
He continued, “With these new actions, we will shed light on the forces that have obscured truthful communication about the COVID-19 vaccines.”
A DeSantis press release states that, “The Biden Administration and pharmaceutical corporations continue to push widespread distribution of mRNA vaccines on the public, including children as young as 6 months old, through relentless propaganda while ignoring real-life adverse events.”
It was also stated that the grand jury would be instructed to investigate, “sudden deaths of individuals that received the COVID-19 vaccine in Florida, based on autopsy results”, adding that the state “will collaborate with the University of Florida to compare research with studies done in other countries.
