A man who was living between his can and commercial truck when he participated in drug smuggling has been jailed for four-and-a-half years by the Circuit Criminal Court.
The court heard how trucker Gerard Doran (60) agreed to let a drug smuggling network conceal over €1,000,000 worth of cannabis in the vehicle he drove between the UK and Ireland because he was in debt and was struggling with cancer.
