Controlling access to social media platforms has become the central focus of the implementation of EU digital IDs in Ireland, members of the government have confirmed.
Tánaiste Simon Harris’ Fine Gael party emphasised that the so-called “Digital Wallet” will help them force social media platforms to verify the ages of all their users as the tool entered early testing phases last week.
