A couple of remarkably similar articles ran in some of the national papers last week, reporting that Dublin City University is offering beleaguered schools a resource for dealing with the surge in teenage boys falling under the sway of “misogynistic influencers” like, most notably, Andrew Tate.
“Dr [Darragh] McCashin, assistant professor at the School of Psychology in Dublin City University, said teachers in Irish schools have been ‘crying out’ for guidance on how to tackle the issue,” the Independent’s article read, implying as it does that this is a top concern for Irish educators at the moment. I somehow doubt that.
