What country or region do you currently live in? Well, wherever you answered, that’s the worst place to be as regards global warming. So you should probably slide out of your chair right now flail around on the carpet like a fish as you soil yourself in terror.
That’s what the media would have you believe, at least, considering every country and continent on earth is apparently heating up faster than everywhere else.
Let’s take a look at some examples, shall we?
For example, consider the following Irish Times headline:
“Ireland warming twice as fast as rest of world, report finds”
Now that sounds pretty bad, doesn’t it?
Until we see that, amazingly, China is also heating up faster than the global average.

And in fact, so is Sweden.

And Australia.

And Europe.

And Russia.

And Canada.
Explaining to my kids that Canada is warming twice as fast as the rest of the world is not an easy conversation. It’s devastating. For ALL of our children, can the attention of politicians + media shift to this crisis soon? #climate #motherearth 🌎 https://t.co/5DlfGNIo7r

And the Indian ocean.

And Switzerland.

And the Arctic.
Researchers say the Arctic is warming four times faster than the global average—twice as fast as previously thought. https://t.co/i53GWgRhjC

And the Antarctic.
For a long time scientists thought the center of #Antarctica was not as vulnerable to warming, but new research indicates that over the last 30 years drastic changes mean warming is happening 3x faster than anywhere else, reports Kyle Clem for @guardianeco https://t.co/EET9aaD1PA pic.twitter.com/72sIxkx1L0

And Finland.

And Singapore.
Also did you know: Singapore is heating up twice as fast as the rest of the world. These were findings released in 2019. We're now in 2022 and definitely feeling the rising heat (maybe not today. But wait again and see) https://t.co/iuwmiQMxQy

And Britain.

And mountains.
Mountains are warming twice as fast as the rest of the world. Climate researchers are still trying to figure out why. https://t.co/6Uf6pNol8y pic.twitter.com/rZWf9sna2o

Etcetera, etcetera – you get the idea.
Yet again, we are reminded how much of what appears to be “The Science” is ultimately just some journalist or activist in a labcoat making it up as they go along.
