A bipolar man off his meds, who has no ties to the state, sexually assaulted a teenager at Dublin Airport last August, only days after he arrived in Dublin as a “lone tourist”.
Rogerio Afonso (56), who is a native of Sao Paolo, Brazil, pleaded guilty to assaulting the 19-year-old girl on the 4th of August 2025 at Terminal 1 of Dublin Airport, contrary to Section 2 of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act 2006.
