RTÉ‘s decision to leave singing legend Dana out of a major Eurovision TV celebration has caused much controversy.
She was our first winner, and opened the door for the record-breaking run of wins that made us, for a time, the kings and queens of Eurovision. She became a household name, and continues to perform and record. Yet Dana has not been invited to take part in an RTÉ production celebrating Ireland’s success in the competition.
