A man who stabbed a female childhood friend in the side during a fight over drug consumption in Tallaght has been sentenced to two years and three months in jail.
Matthew Hayes Rice (29), with an address at Bushypark, Terenure, Dublin 6W, was supposed to be sentenced last July but left court and was picked up by Gardaí almost three months later while collecting social welfare.
