European governments and businesses appear to be quietly switching to Chinese-built artificial intelligence systems as locally made offerings fail to keep pace.
Brussels has reportedly begun testing open-source Chinese models, with the bloc’s Joint Research Centre — responsible for in-house research at the European Commission — as well as the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), both said to be experimenting with the country’s models.
