Gardaí are continuing to investigate an alleged incident of serious assault, which occurred near Main Street, Belmayne, Dublin 13 on Monday 28th September 2026.
The female (aged in her 30s) was conveyed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries and has since passed away on Wednesday 30th October 2026.
Gardaí say a post-mortem examination is in progress, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation, and a Family Liaison Officer (FLO) continues to support the family of the deceased.
A male (aged in his 20s) arrested on Tuesday 29th September 2026, in connection with the investigation, was released without charge yesterday, 30th October, pending a file to the DPP.
Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
Anyone in the vicinity of Main Street, Belmayne, Dublin 13 on Monday 28th September 2026, between 3:00 pm and 3:45 pm, who may have video footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
