It is hard to imagine a more ignoble and abject capitulation to the false gods of ecumenism than that recently performed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Sarah Mullally.
This ludicrous creature, a sort of cross between Vidkun Quisling and Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, recently gave the Hubert Walter Award for Reconciliation and Interfaith Cooperation to Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi, and then, six days and one public outcry later, took it back. Giving it would have been bad on any day of the year; that she did so on the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 Twin Towers slaughter reaches hitherto unplumbed depths of cretinism, not least because Ashrafi had in 2007 given Osama bin Laden, the architect of that slaughter, the honorific title of Saifullah, or Sword of God. Ashrafi now says the remarks were taken out of context and the title never conferred; the reports at the time say otherwise.
