Brussels, with the help of the Irish government, is working to introduce a new form of digital “chat control” across the European Union, leaked documents have shown.
Closed-door negotiations were held in Brussels on September 29 on the introduction of mass scanning of private online messages across the bloc, with the meeting being spearheaded by Ireland’s European Council Presidency.
