A Fianna Fáil councillor has called for random drug screening to be introduced for politicians, claiming it is “not acceptable” that some elected reps are allegedly “snorting lines of coke” before parliamentary debates.
Speaking in an interview with Gript Media this week, Sligo County Council representative Cllr. Donal Gilroy said that the issue of drug consumption is “definitely part of every party” in Irish politics.
