An academic who was previously enlisted by the NCCA to help advise on Ireland’s sex education curriculum claimed that “since they could communicate”, toddlers can “vehemently articulate an alternative to the sex they were assigned at birth.”
In a resurfaced 2021 video presentation delivered to the Irish Institute for Catholic Studies (IICS), University of Limerick sociology Associate Professor Dr. Aoife Neary said that young children are “processing gender identity” from very early on and described instances of “gender fluid open-ended child-led parenting”.
