The European Union is set to aid the injection of government funds into media outlets considered to push an agenda friendly to “diversity”, draft legislation has shown.
A revision of Brussels’ General Block Exemption Regulation, one of the main pieces of EU legislation governing state aid, is set to enable national governments to hand out more cash to certain media outlets as long as they support certain agenda items.
