Over the weekend, I had an interesting conversation about the negative effects of pornography on society. During this lively discussion, I expressed my belief that viewing pornography is a form of infidelity for those of us who are in relationships. Hearing this, my compatriots enthusiastically agreed before one of them announced that, while she viewed pornography as “vile”, she ‘believes’ in casual sex.
This caused the rest of us to experience what is often referred to as ‘the Windows error sound’ because this sentiment instantly felt like a huge contradiction before we had the time to process it fully and gather the words to express why.
