The evidence has been heard, the jury is back in court, and the verdict is simple. Guilty on all charges. Enlightened drugs laws do not work. Tolerance of cannabis doesn’t work. There is no level of heroin or cocaine usage that is safe. Almost everything that I have said previously on this issue is wrong.
Narcotic permissiveness is a death sentence not merely for many users of drugs but also for those within the criminal supply-chain connecting them to the source. Permissiveness on this matter is now the ultimate stupidity, beyond any redemption and, especially for the well-to-do and intelligent at this late stage of the day, deserving of no forgiveness.
