In its Mid-Year Market Monitor 2026 published in July, the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) noted that an representative couple earning a combined income of €113,000 faces an affordability barrier to buy a median-priced three-bedroom semi-detached home in multiple counties.
