There are currently “no commitments” to deploy Defence Forces equipment or personnel to Ukraine as part of a pan-European coalition force coordinated by France and the UK the Department of Defence confirmed to Gript following a landmark summit in Paris to coincide with Bastille Day.
A five person colour party from the Defence Forces paraded down the Champs-Élysées Tuesday before European leaders and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in what was marketed by the French President as a symbolic moment for Europe’s strategic autonomy away from the United States.
