Fianna Fáil TD for Kerry, Michael Cahill, has asked the Minister for Justice, Jim O’Callaghan to reopen the State’s Immigrant Investor Programme (IIP).
The IIP was closed to new applications on 15 February 2023. In the Government’s announcement at the time, the then Minister for Justice Simon Harris said the scheme had “fulfilled its purpose” and was no longer suitable for Ireland’s “cultural, social and economic needs.”
