“I can’t breathe”
Among the last words of 18-year-old Henry Nowak were “I can’t breathe”. While that’s not unexpected, given the poor boy was in the process of succumbing to the fatal stab wounds inflicted by the weapons-obsessed sikh-o, Vickrum Digwa, it is remarkable that they so clearly echo the last words of George Floyd, who has more than anyone else perhaps become synonymous with ‘death by systemic racism’.
