In a heartwarming display of benevolence from our political betters, Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Tánaiste Simon Harris just announced a fuel support package costed at €505 million.
As part of this, after six long days of protests against fuel costs, they told us they are deferring the highly controversial carbon tax hike scheduled for May 1st.
