I keep hearing stories about how my friend’s parents bought houses, yes, actual houses, for around £80,000 a pop in the not-so-distant past.
Relatives of mine bought an apartment in Blackrock, Dublin in the late 80s, not exactly an era lost in the sands of time, for just under £40,000. Another bought a house on the South Circular Road in Dublin for about £17,000 in the mid 80s.
