It has been another fantastic week for the three musketeers Taoiseach Micheál Martin, Tánaiste Simon Harris and anti – democrat Senator McDowell. The latest poll from the Irish Times has Catherine Connolly way ahead in this Presidential race, despite the fact that her main pitch seems to be to turn Áras an Uachtaráin into the new national rehabilitation centre for ex-cons. Some might think that’s a security risk but there we are.
The current numbers are: Catherine Connolly is on 38%; Heather Humphreys is at 20%; Jim Gavin who is not actually campaigning is at 5%. A full 12% said they will not vote followed by 6% who said they will spoil they vote and 18% are undecided
