Opposition to the upcoming ‘Climate Action and Sustainable Development’ Leaving Certificate course was much more widespread during consultations than subsequently indicated, according to documents released to Gript under the Freedom of Information Act.
The documents sent to Gript include a roundup of feedback received from attendees during an in-person consultation held by the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) at Limerick Strand Hotel last March, and an internal NCCA report summarising the data gathered throughout both in-person and online consultations on the controversial new subject.
