The British Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, will warn the United Nations today that because their rules on seeking asylum have created “huge incentives for illegal migration”, up to 780 million people will be eligible to claim protection unless radical reform takes place.
Ms Braverman is to speak at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington today and will warn that the threshold for making a claim for asylum under the United Nations Refugee Convention has been lowered in the courts.
