Five Irish people have lost their lives overseas while on holiday during the month of July so far.
Waterford dad found dead in Magaluf with bite marks on body.

Irishman Michael Grant (45) was found dead near the Punta Ballena strip in Magaluf on the first of July last.
It is understood that Grant went missing after taking a wrong turn after having some drinks during the day.
Grant was on holiday with his wife, four children, and other family members when tragedy struck.
The Sunday World reported that when Grant’s body was found it was ‘covered in bite marks’ on his arms
The physiotherapist also had a deep wound which contained glass when he was found.
It is suspected that he may have been assaulted and hit by a motorist.
A statement issued by Grant’s GAA club said, “A darkness has descended on our club and our community. When word filtered through that “Granter” was gone, our collective hearts shattered into a million pieces,” said the club statement.
“Michael was selfless. He gave of himself without condition – how he managed to be omnipresent in his beloved St Joseph’s AFC and Mount Sion remains a mystery. “But give of himself he did, in the kindest, most considerate and most caring way to every child who kicked or struck a ball under his watch in those two clubs!” it said.
Offaly lotto winner passes away after accident in Turkey.

Offaly man Michael ‘Mouse’ Kelly passed away while on holiday in Turkey after a suspected traffic accident.
The Offaly Independent reported that Kelly was a lotto jackpot winner in 1997 and was from Birr in south Offaly.
Wicklow girl (11) killed in horror fall from balcony in Majorca.

Clodagh Phealan from County Wicklow, has been remembered as a “beautiful, spirited” child and a talented athlete.
She died after falling seven stories from a balcony at a hotel resort in Majorca where she was on holiday with her family.
She is understood to have fallen around 65ft in the tragedy which unfolded at around 6.30am on Monday morning at Club Mac, an all-inclusive hotel that specialises in families, in what is being treated as a tragic accident.
Clodagh’s athletics club, Parnell AC Juveniles, tonight paid tribute to their club member, who they described as a “great athlete” who excelled in a number of sports.
“Parnell A.C. are truly heartbroken to share the devastating news of the passing of Clodagh Phelan, one of our juvenile athletes and friend to many of our younger athletes,” the club said in a statement.
Dublin cyclist dies while on holiday in France.

Dublin Niall Kiernan (29) tragically died while on holiday in France with his father.
The cyclist lost his life after reportedly leaving the road in a mountainous region last Sunday.
Orwell Wheelers CC of whom Kiernan was a member said, “Niall and his father Gerry were cycling in France. Those who knew Niall would be aware that he was so looking forward to this trip with his dad. Niall loved every aspect of cycling – weekend spins, racing and the social side. He was well known and loved throughout the club.”
“Niall will be sorely missed by all those in the club who knew him. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences especially go out to Gerry. The club extends its deepest sympathies to all the extended Kieran family at this sad time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.”
The Department of Foreign Affairs is assisting the Kiernan family.
Cork mum dies suddenly while on holiday in Spain

40-year-old Cork mother of three, Regina Cullinane passed away unexpectedly while on holiday in Spain.
Cullinane, who was from Donoughmore, passed away on the 23rd of July reportedly on the first day of her holiday.
Local parish Facebook page, Donoughmore Diary, paid tribute to Regina saying: “Tragic news in Donoughmore that a young local lady, Gina Cullinane, has passed away unexpectedly in Spain. If you can assist her family in meeting the cost of bringing her home please click on the link… May she rest in peace.”
A gofundme set up to support the repatriation of Cullinane’s body has raised over 57,000 euro to date.
