It has been reported that UK police have arrested a 44 year old man in connection with the savage murder of much loved Irish grandfather Thomas O’Halloran.
The 87 year old was stabbed to death in a completely unprovoked attack that has sent shockwaves across Ireland and the British Isles since news of the vicious assault broke yesterday.
“The Met Police said a 44-year-old man was arrested at an address in Southall in the early hours of Thursday, 18 August on suspicion of murder, and remains in custody.”
Yesterday, police released an image of a man captured on CCTV leaving the vicinity of the murder who appeared to be carrying a knife, and to have blood on the gloves he was wearing.
However it is not known if this man is the individual apprehended.
O’Halloran, who was originally from Co Clare, was stabbed to death as he travelled on his mobility scooter in the West London suburb of Greenford.
